Maybe It's Time To Look For Somebody Else?

I'm a woman in her mid 40s and so lucky to look like a 32 year old. I've been single now for 5 years since the end of a long relationship (4 years). Guys often ask me out, I look hot, I know it and I am really good fun. The thing is, I just can't fall for them, well that's not really true. One I fell for but he is living in another country and is much younger so I don't know if he feels the same though he told me I'm cool and have sex appeal. We even got together once but I couldn't have sex as I was afraid of falling and him using me. I had one or two 2 mths relationships a couple of yrs ago but they never last. What's wrong with me? I sometimes get so frustrated but I can't do a one night stand. It is not me.

There is most likely nothing wrong with you, Similarly I never have any trouble attracting men, finding one that I might be interested in longer term is the problem. But you can't force yourself to fall for someone. its an emotion, not an action. You know what right for you and whats not.

I don't think you should feel that men use you, if the decision is yours than why would you feel used? Why not enjoy the moment?

I understand where your coming from with 'can't do one night stands' thing. I hate that too. But it seems there are fewer and fewer of us that don't do them. Hopefully one day the both of us will meet men that will be thrilled to have us, till then I'll stick with my perennial single friends and enjoy my life as much as I can do.

But I admit, it does get to me sometimes. This single life.

lol its not about how HOT u are or pretty! not all guys go for that! i know they dont like women who are vain and think they are all that! its all about the personality,i think guys like me cos am not vain or full of myself,flirty or act like am all that lol!

Everything seems to happen so fast these days.I think you need to slow down the whole sex thing and let one of these guys actually woo you over a bit of time instead of trying to jump straight in.

you have probably been hurt in the past, which will have formed a ''love'' barrier on all other men. You wont personally realise that you find yourself turning people down, it just happens, because psychologically you are either scared, or just generally a stronger person on your own. It will be hard to fall in love again, especially for an experienced lady of your age, but someone always comes along to sweep you off your feet! just wait and see! x

Don't ever tell your real age, this is a woman's previlege and in any case a real gentleman would never ask.

Quite often attactive (hot) people are left on the shelf as it were because people just assume they 'must' be going out with 'someone'.

I remember once reading something that Liz Taylor said in her youth – in that she could never seem to get a date with anyone and then she found out that people just thought she was already engaged or something. . . .

You could join a dating agency and find someone there. At least by this very popular method you will only meet people you really do want to meet – it takes some of the 'chance' out of it.
