think of it this way are you willing to tell the other people your dating or talking to online that your talking to other people beside them?
if yes – and there ok with it then that's up to you & the person
If no – then why? if you want to hide it from other people you obviously think there is something wrong with it and dont want the other person to get annoyed.
so ask yourself which are you willing to do and that will determine in your own mind whether you see it as bad or not.

In ireland I think is considered quite not appropriate to date on the internet! It is a much better idea and chatup line just to pop in a pub for a few pints. Not very cool to date more people at the same time!
