Maybe It's Time To Look For Somebody Else?

Hey, im 24 years old and I've been dating a mexican guy for over 2 years and wonder are mexican woman pissed off by that? Or mexicans in general? Im not a dark black either, my skin is very light and my hair is long, so they usually mistake me for being mexican when we're together. Im 75% black, my mom is white black and indian and my dad is black…. I grew up with nothing but mexicans and I love and respect the culture. So does someone know if that bothers mexican people? And if so what is something I can do to be more accepted in the mexican community? And will this cause problems once we get married?

Michelle, why are you bothered by what other people think of you? They should accept you for you, and not by your skin colour or ethnicity. Or who you date. It's none of their business.

I don't see how it could bother them. You'll always get the odd few people that look down on a situation, but so what. It's their problem.

Who cares if it bothers them. Really, they need to accept you, not the other way around. By trying to please them you're only furthering the bigotry. Apparently racism isn't just a white thing.
