– Though you make it a point to be there for your old love, this person is never there for you. If your old love is never there when you need some help, you better sit down and think it through.   Ask yourself; are you doing all the giving and whether you are gaining from this relationship? Sometimes, your old love could be ambivalent about his or her feelings.  

There are times when your former lover might not know what exactly he or she wants.  A lot of people don’t like to say they have made a mistake.  Your former lover might still care for you but he or she might think that there was a judgment error and they don’t know how to proceed.  So bring it all out into open and ask.  If he or she is not misleading you, then you will get at the truth. 

However, one should not censure them for being devious since in their confounded state they, probably, may not even be aware of what they do.

Now, if your want to normalize the relationship and get together again, first thing you do is to have a strategy and a single point agenda to win him or her back otherwise you may have to contented being just a friend. Take heart, there is a way.
